Nagaland is one of the states of the Northeast and it is as unique in its cultures and traditions as each of the other Northeastern states are. The remote location of this state has always evoked a sense of mysticism and awe. The Hornbill festival is the most popular festival of the entire Naga culture and it is famous all over the country for its uniqueness and extravaganza. It is an annual ten day event that takes place from 1-10 December. With time it has become an event to reckon with not with just the 16 tribes of Nagaland, but also the remaining seven Northeast Indian states to showcase the best of their cultural elements.
