We bring to you a complete itinerary to explore the colors of Southern India and observe different birding site that are present here. Experience the natural beauty of the charming South India.
The Andaman & Nicobar are a group of picturesque Islands, big and small, inhabited and uninhabited, a total of 572 islands, islets and rocks lying in the South Eastern Part of the Bay of Bengal. The isolation has helped evolve a large number of endemic birds on these islands.
On the Andaman Islands Endemic Birding Tour, we will be visiting the Andaman Island in search of these birds especially the endemics – total of 20 in number. The notable areas visited during the Andaman Endemic Birding Tour are Mount Harriet, Sippi Ghat, Chidia Tapu, Farar Ganj & Havelock. The endemics include four owls and other species such as Andaman Woodpecker, Andaman Crake and Andaman Serpent Eagle.

Arrive Bangalore, transfer to Hotel
Overnight.
After breakfast drive to Mysore, it is 90 Kms and takes about 2 hrs, lunch at hotel in Mysore.
In the evening proceed for bird watching.
Overnight at hotel.
Early morning birding at Ranganatitu Bird Sanctuary, come back for breakfast at hotel and proceed to Nagarhole, it is about 3 Hrs drive.
After lunch at Kabini Resort proceed for game drive in the Nagarhole National Park.
Overnight at Kabini River Lodge.
After an early tea, proceed for a Jeep safari to Nagarhole National park. Return to Kabini Lodge for Breakfast, free time for birding our self in the Hotel’s garden until lunch time, after lunch Jeep Safari again.

After breakfast at Kabini River Lodge, proceed to Mudumalai (5 to 6 Hours), on arrival check into hotel Jungle Hut.
After lunch proceed for birding in nearby area, overnight at Jungle Hut.
After breakfast proceed to Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary to see variety of wildlife species, after lunch look for some endemics nearby area.

After breakfast at hotel proceed to Ooty, on arrival transfer to Hotel Sherlock.
Afternoon birding around Ooty.

After Breakfast have short drive to Tiger Hill forest for birds & lunch at hotel, Afternoon visit Cairn hill forest Reserve for birding.
Dinner & Overnight at Hotel Sherlock.
Breakfast at hotel, get pack lunch and proceed to Top Slip, on arrival transfer to hotel. Top Slip’s outstanding rainforest patches hold a number of South Indian endemic birds. Some, such as the Waynad Laughing thrush, Sri Lanka Frogmouth, White-bellied Tree pie, Malabar Trogon.
White-bellied Blue Flycatcher and Black-throated Munia are best seen here. Other key birds include a large breeding population of Great Hornbills, Malabar Grey Hornbill, and Red Spur fowl, Grey Jungle fowl, Malabar Parakeet, Heart-spotted Woodpecker, Oriental Bay Owl, Mountain Imperial Pigeon, Indian Swiftlet, Brown-backed Needletail, Rufous Babbler, Yellow-browed Bulbul, Crimson-backed Sunbird, Greater Racket Tailed Drongo, Great Eared Nightjar and Large-billed Warbler.
Many of these birds can be seen on the 1km track from the edge of Karian Shola to the watchtower overlooking a reservoir.

Overnight at same hotel.
Breakfast at hotel, get some food on the way for lunch and proceed to Puttotham (80kms) from Top slip for Lion-tailed Macaque if we want. We will have to go about 60 km one way extra road to Puttotham, then proceed to Munnar by surface (4 Hrs. from Top slip to Munar plus extra road to rare Macaque).
On arrival check-in to Hotel Copper Castle.
Munnar – situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.
Evening enjoy visit Old Munnar town, Tea plantations, Tea museum & local market etc..

Breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit to Eravikulam National Park (Raja Malai) for couple of hours, later drive to Thekkady [3 hrs] through the plantations and small villages simplicity of the state can felt while, driving all round would be scenic beauty, lunch on the way, upon arrival transfer to hotel Aranya Niwas.
Thekkady is one of India’s most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries, where you can watch wildlife at close quarters. The vegetation, the flora and fauna and the birds of Thekkady are uniquely rich, vast and varied that it does not bear resemblance to any other wildlife sanctuaries in the world.
If time permits then in evening enjoy little birding in Periyar National Park around the Hotel garden.

After breakfast proceed for a nature trek through Periyar Lake – wildlife sanctuary. You can visit rare species of plants and animals and this is an unforgettable experience.
After lunch at hotel proceed to visit spice plantation like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee, tea, estates etc on your way back to the hotel, you could stop at local market pick some fragrant spices.

Breakfast at hotel, get pack lunch, drive to Madurai airport, fly to Chennai.
