Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Delhi

Arrive Delhi in the evening. A representative from INDIAN JOURNEY meet you at your arrival, who will transfer you to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2Delhi Sightseeing

Breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing tour, visit Raj Ghat- a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, drive past Red Fort – The magnificent Red Fort, overlooking the river Jamuna was built during the years 1638 – 48 when the Moghul Empire was at its peak, continue visit to Jama Masjid – largest mosque in India, with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees.

In the afternoon visit, Visit Qutub Minaar – 73 metre hight, a tower of victory, built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, Humaun Tomb – It was built in 1565 A.D. nine years after the death of Humayun, by his senior widow Bega Begam & lotus temple, drive past India Gate, parliament house, president house.

Day 3Delhi – Jaipur (265 kms / 5 hours)

After leisurely breakfast at hotel, proceed to Jaipur, on arrival check into hotel.

Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour-
City Palace – A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

Jantar Mantar- This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use. Followed by tour of Textiles factory.

Day 4Jaipur

Breakfast at hotel, morning excursion to Amber Fort via en-route visiting Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal – The ornamental facade of this “Palace of Winds” is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. It is a five- storey structure of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.
Later continue to Amer fort, you can wish to choose Elephant ride or Jeep to reach up ( it is about 20 mints ride by elephant/10 mints by Jeep).

Amber fort is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate expression.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 5Jaipur – Agra (260 kms / 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Agra via en- route visiting Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri -The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating experience. It a veritable fairytale city and its “ruins” are in pristine condition … it’s not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.

Continue travel to Agra, on arrival check into hotel.

In the evening proceed to visit Taj Mahal – The Immortal Signature of Love
There is no other monument in the world, which can match the beauty and grandeur of the Taj Mahal. Set amongst the serene ambience of a well laid out garden, the massive marble structure of the Taj is awe-inspiring. The Taj Mahal was built in the 17th century by Shahjahan- the fifth Mughal emperor, in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Shahjahan loved his wife so much that after she passed away in 1631, he decided to immortalize their love in the form of the Taj Mahal. It is more than 350 years and still has its romantic aura intact, which attracts millions of visitors from all part of the world. (Taj Mahal is closed on Friday)

Day 6Agra – Delhi

Breakfast at hotel, visit Red Fort – Agra Fort, Built by the great Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD the fort is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings, including the Moti Masjid, Diwane-E-Am, Diwani-E-Khaas and Musanman Burj, where the Emperor Shah Jahan died while in imprisonment.
In the later afternoon, transfer to Delhi airport, fly to onward destinations with Sweet memories of India.
