Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Delhi

A representative from INDIAN JOURNEY, India will meet you outside the custom and Baggage claim area and transfer to Hotel.

Overnight.

Day 2Delhi Sightseeing

Breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing tour, visit Raj Ghat- a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, drive past Red Fort – The magnificent Red Fort, overlooking the river Jamuna was built during the years 1638 – 48 when the Moghul Empire was at its peak, continue visit to Jama Masjid – largest mosque in India, with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees.

Afternoon visit Qutub Minar – Qutab Minar is a soaring, 73 m-high tower of victory, Lotus temple – built in the shape of lotus flower, drive pass president house, Parliament house, India Gate.

Day 3Delhi – Agra ( 200 kms/4 hours)

Breakfast at hotel, drive to Agra, on arrival check into hotel.

After wash & change proceed for sightseeing tour, visit Taj Mahal – a monument of love – TAJ MAHAL.

There is no other monument in the world, which can match the beauty and grandeur of the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built in the 17th century by Shahjahan- the fifth Mughal emperor, in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Shahjahan loved his wife so much that after she passed away in 1631, he decided to immortalize their love in the form of the Taj Mahal.

Later proceed to visit Fort – Agra Fort, Built by the great Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD the fort is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings, including the Moti Masjid, Diwane-E-Am, Diwani-E-Khaas and Musanman Burj, where the Emperor Shah Jahan died while in imprisonment.

Day 4Agra – Jaipur ( 265 kms/5 hours)

Breakfast at hotel, proceed to Jaipur via en-route visiting Fatehpuri Sirkir.

Fatehpur Sikri. The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating experience. Continue travel to Jaipur, on arrival check into the hotel.

Day 5Jaipur

After breakfast at hotel, morning excursion to Amber Fort via en-route visiting Hawa Mahal.

Hawa Mahal – The ornamental facade of this “Palace of Winds” is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. It is a five-storey structure of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.

Later continue to Amer fort, you can wish to choose Elephant ride or Jeep to reach up ( it is about 20 mins ride by elephant/10 mins by Jeep).

Amber fort is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate expression.

Later proceed for city tour-

CITY PALACE – A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

JANTAR MANTAR – This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use.

Day 6Jaipur – Bikaner ( 310/6 hours)

Breakfast at hotel, driver to Bikaner, on arrival check into hotel.

After wash & change proceed for sightseeing tour, visit Junagarh Fort – constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Jai Singh, a general in the Moghul Emperor Akbar’s army.

Day 7Bikaner – Jaisalmer ( 300 kms/5 hours)

Breakfast at hotel, proceed to Jaislamer, on arrival check into hotel.

In the afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer, Visit the JAISALMER FORT – The oldest living Fort in the world, Nathmal ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli, Gadisagar Lake and followed by Camel ride at Sand Dunes at the time of Sun set.

Day 8Jaisalmer - Jodhpur ( 320 kms/6 hours)

Breakfast at hotel, proceed for Jodhpur, on arrival check into hotel.

Later proceed for sightseeing tour, visit – The massive 15th century AD Mehrangarh Fort looms on the top of a rocky hill, soaring 125 Mts. above the plains. After Fort, you would visit Jaswant Thada Memorial & local market. Later in the afternoon proceed for walking tour through the Ghantaghar (Clock Tower) area, undoubtedly Jodhpur’s busiest marketplace. On this walk, you will see the wholesale grain market, the bamboo market, spice sellers, colorful local grocery shops, tea shops, fabric and jewelry shops, agricultural implements, fruits, vegetables & famous spices shops.

Day 9Jodhpur – Udaipur ( 280 kms/6 hours)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Udaipur via en-routing RANAKPUR TEMPLES, dating back to the 15th century. 200 pillars, none of which are alike, support its 29 halls. The Temple abounds with intricate friezes and sculptures. Includes visits to two more Jain temples and the Temple of the Sun God with its erotic sculptures.

Later continue travel to Udaipur, on arrival check into hotel.

Day 10Udaipur

Breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing tour of Udaipur, stopping first at City Palace. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, coloured glass windows and inlaid marble balconies and the Peacock Courtyard.

Also visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari Gardens, the Jagdish Temple and the local folk Museum.

Later in the afternoon proceed for proceed for motor launch cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola, from the boat you will be able to view the city of Udaipur as it rises majestically above the lake in the middle of the Rajasthan desert. Also visit the Jag Mandir Palace – the other island palace in the middle of the lake and spend some time.

Day 11Udaipur/Delhi

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport, fly to Delhi, on arrival check into hotel.

Day 12Depart: Delhi

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport, fly to your onward destination with sweet memories of India.
