DELHI-JAIPUR-RATHMBORE-BANDHAVGARH-KANHA

Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi Arrive

A representative will meet you in arrival lounge who will transfer you hotel.

Breakfast at hotel.

Delhi is a city of immense past. Seven mighty empires have risen, ruled the sub-continent & fallen.

It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and has accumulated a tremendous heritage of art, architecture and culture. New Delhi, the present capital of the largest democracy in the world, is the creation of world famous architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens

Day free for own activities.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing

Breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing tour, visit Raj Ghat- a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, drive past Red Fort – The magnificent Red Fort, overlooking the river Jamuna was built during the years 1638 – 48 when the Mughal Empire was at its peak, continue visit to Jama Masjid – largest mosque in India, with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees,  

 

Afternoon visit Qutub Minar – Qutab Minar is a soaring, 73 m-height tower of victory, Lotus temple – built in the shape of lotus flower, drive pass president house, Parliament house, India Gate.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur (260 km/5 hours)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Jaipur, on arrival check into hotel.

In evening visit City palace – A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city.  It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

Day 4: Jaipur – Ranthambore(140 Km/ 3 hrs)

After breakfast at hotel morning excursion to Amber Fort via en-route visiting Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal – The ornamental facade of this “Palace of Winds” is a prominent landmark in Jaipur.  It is a five-storey structure of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.

Later continue to Amer fort, you can wish to choose Elephant ride or Jeep to reach up (it is about 20 minutes ride by elephant/10 minutes by Jeep)

Amber fort is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace.  Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate expression.

 

Later proceed for city tour-

JANTAR MANTAR – This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country.  This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use.

Continue drive to Ranthambore, on arrival check into hotel. Evening jungle ride

Day 5: Ranthambore

Early morning & afternoon drive to the Ranthambore National Park for Wildlife Viewing

Ranthambore National Park is located in Sawai Madhopur. It is one of the biggest national parks in Rajasthan state of India. With an area of 392 km², the park is one of Project Tiger Reserves of India. Ranthambore National Park is acknowledged for holding a large population of tigers. Other wild animals found in the woods of the park include dhole, leopard, hyena, nilgai, chital, wild boar, sambar and sloth bear.

Lunch & dinner outside at hotel.

Day 06: Ranthambore – Agra (260 kms/5 Hrs drive)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Agra via en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, it is about 45 kms before Agra, takes about 1 hour.

Fatehpur Sikri. The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating experience

Continue travel to Agra, on arrival check into the hotel.

Later proceed world famous a monument of love – TAJ MAHAL.

There is no other monument in the world, which can match the beauty and grandeur of the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built in the 17th century by Shahjahan- the fifth Mughal emperor, in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Shahjahan loved his wife so much that after she passed away in 1631, he decided to immortalize their love in the form of the Taj Mahal.

Day 07: Agra – Khajuraho via Jhansi (175 Km/4 Hrs)

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing tour of Agra visit beautiful Agra Fort; Built by the great Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD the fort is a masterpiece of design and construction followed by visit Marvel Factory to see amazing inlay work.

Later transfer to train station to board train for Jhansi.

On arrival in Jhansi station, pick up from station and drive to Khajuraho.

On arrival, check into hotel.

Day 08:: Khajuraho – Bandhavgarh(227 Km / 5 Hrs)

Breakfast at hotel; proceed to city tour of Khajuraho visiting the famous temples of Khajuraho. Khajuraho temples date back to the 9th and 12th century and it shows the architectural feat of Chandela dynasty followed by visit of famous Jain Temple.

 

Later drive to Bandhavgarh known as the White Tiger territory.

There are more than 22 species of mammals, and 250 species of birds that call the park home. Many migratory birds can be seen during the winter months, including the steppe eagle and a variety of wildfowl. Evening Jungle ride.

Day 09: Bandhavgarh

Morning and evening rides. The density of the Tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India. Former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa is a famous natural hub for white tigers. During the morning and afternoon game drives you may see White Tigers, Bengal tigers, Leopards, Sambar, Barking deer, Wild boar, jungle cat & more. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Bandhavgarh – Kanha (241 kms/ 05 ½ Hrs)

An early breakfast, followed by a drive to the Kanha National Park, for the next leg of your Tiger safari tour. On arrival, check in to your lodge.

The Kanha National Park is said to be an environmental success, with a large and growing population of small and big mammals, including the largest tiger population in India and the proliferation of swamp deer.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Kanha

Morning and afternoon game rides into the Kanha National Park. Safaris in Kanha are conducted using open top jeeps, and English speaking Naturalists are at hand to enhance the experience.

Day 13: Kanha – Delhi via Jabalpur (154 Km/ 4 Hrs)

After an early morning breakfast, drive to Jabalpur airport fly to Delhi.

Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Overnight.

Day 14: Depart Delhi

Upon arrival, transfer to move your onward destination with sweet memories of India.
